Artificial intelligence (AI) tools can be powerful study aids when used appropriately. At ACI Learning, we believe AI can help you learn faster, explore concepts more deeply, and improve how you study—when used in the right way.
This guide explains how to use AI responsibly while protecting course materials and aligning with ACI Learning policies.
AI Policy Overview
Your use of AI tools within the ACI Tech Academy program is governed by our AI Provisions policy, which outlines acceptable and prohibited uses of artificial intelligence in relation to course materials.
View the full AI policy here:
https://www.acitechacademy.com/terms-and-conditions/
This policy is designed to:
- Protect ACI Learning’s intellectual property
- Ensure responsible and secure use of AI tools
- Support a structured and effective learning experience
All students are expected to review and follow these guidelines when using AI tools as part of their studies.
Our approach to AI
At ACI Learning, AI is not just permitted—it’s encouraged.
We believe AI should:
- Help you spend less time on repetitive tasks
- Support deeper understanding of technical concepts
- Enable more effective and personalized study habits
At the same time, AI should support your learning—not replace it. Your knowledge, effort, and hands-on practice are still essential to your success.
AI tools are allowed (with appropriate use)
You are encouraged to use AI tools to enhance your learning experience.
You may use AI tools to:
- Better understand concepts covered in your courses
- Get explanations of technical topics
- Practice questions and problem-solving
- Organize or summarize your own notes
- Explore broader subject matter related to your training
- Brainstorm approaches to solving technical challenges
Examples of AI tools include services such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and similar generative AI platforms.
These examples are for illustration only and are not an exhaustive list.
Protecting course materials
All ACI Learning course materials—including:
- Ebooks
- Labs and lab guides
- Videos
- Slides and course presentations
…are copyright-protected and provided for your personal use within our platform only.
Your access to these materials is granted as part of your enrollment and is governed by our Terms & Conditions.
What is not allowed
To comply with our AI Provisions policy and protect intellectual property, you may not:
- Upload or transmit course materials to any third-party system, including but not limited to AI tools or generative AI platforms
- Copy or paste ebooks, lab guides, or course content into external tools or services
- Share ACI Learning materials outside the platform
- Use external systems to store, process, or distribute proprietary course content
Uploading content into external systems (including AI tools) is considered sharing it with a third party, which is not permitted.

Why this matters
ACI Learning’s course content is proprietary and protected under intellectual property laws.
Responsible AI use helps:
- Protect course integrity
- Ensure fair learning experiences for all students
- Maintain the value of your certification training
Be mindful: AI tools can be inaccurate
While AI tools can be helpful, they are not always reliable.
AI systems may:
- Provide incomplete or outdated information
- Misinterpret questions
- Generate incorrect or misleading answers (“hallucinations”)
Best practice:
- Verify AI-generated information using trusted sources
- Cross-check answers with your course materials
- Use AI as a supplement—not a replacement—for your learning
Best practices for using AI effectively
To get the most value from AI tools:
- Ask clear, concept-based questions
- Describe problems in your own words
- Use AI to reinforce—not replace—your coursework
- Validate responses using trusted materials
- Use AI tools to support practice, review, and understanding
- Use approved tools (like Coach Maci) when working directly with course content
- Ensure you can explain and apply anything you use from AI tools
Using AI responsibly: Do’s and Don’ts
AI is a powerful tool—but it should be used thoughtfully and responsibly as part of your learning process.
Do:
- Review AI-generated responses before using them — AI is a tool, not a final authority
- Verify key information and apply your own understanding
- Use AI to support your learning, not replace your effort or critical thinking
- Be honest in your work — ensure you understand and can explain what you submit
- Ask for help if you’re unsure whether something is appropriate
Don’t:
- Present AI-generated work as your own without understanding it
- Upload or share ACI Learning materials with external tools (including ebooks, labs, and course content)
- Rely entirely on AI responses without validating them
- Use AI in ways that bypass learning or assessment expectations
- Enter proprietary or course-provided content into external tools
You are responsible for your work
When you use AI tools, you are still responsible for:
- The accuracy of the information you use
- The work you submit
- Ensuring your learning reflects your own understanding
AI can support your success—but your knowledge, effort, and judgment are what ultimately prepare you for certification and real-world application.
