Holiday Policy and Course Schedule
ACI Learning courses typically run 4 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday–Friday), for a total of 20 instructional hours per week. During weeks that include an observed holiday, class schedules may be adjusted to ensure students receive the full amount of scheduled instructional time.
In observance of the holidays listed below, certain course schedules will be modified. During applicable holiday weeks, classes will follow a four-day schedule instead of the usual five-day schedule.
To account for the missed class day, sessions during these four-day weeks will be extended by one hour each day. Adjusted class times are as follows:
- Morning Classes: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Afternoon Classes: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Evening Classes: 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM
This adjusted schedule allows students to maintain the same weekly instructional hours despite the holiday closure.
Attendance During Holiday Weeks
Important: Holiday-week schedules include extended class sessions to preserve instructional hours. Because each class day contains additional instructional time, missing a holiday-week session may result in more attendance hours being missed than during a standard class week. Students are responsible for tracking their attendance and ensuring they maintain the minimum attendance requirements for successful course completion. It is the student's responsibility to understand how absences, tardiness, or early departures may affect their overall attendance standing. Attendance requirements are not waived or adjusted during holiday weeks.
Students are expected to attend all scheduled class sessions, including adjusted holiday-week schedules. Attendance requirements and course completion policies remain in effect during holiday weeks, and all missed time will be counted toward a student's overall attendance calculation.
Students who have questions regarding their attendance status should review their attendance records regularly and contact Student Support as soon as possible if they have concerns about meeting attendance requirements.
